About the course
The SAASS Power Aerobics Instructor – Level 1 course allows students to use their personality to inspire different ages and abilities by either working in a gym or freelance, delivering several classes a week, boosting their income, and enjoying the flexibility to work around their existing lifestyle. The emphasis on freestyle teaching allows them to confidently express their creativity and imagination when delivering a studio class.
This course means that wherever they go with their career, one thing they’ll get to share is their love of music and fitness. Once qualified, they could also teach classes at fitness events and conventions, and possibly become a fitness presenter. They could learn to deliver popular choreography-based classes through specific SAASS modules or expand into holistic-based teaching through supplementary power.
Entry Qualifications
Should be a G C E Ordinary Level Qualified male or female, or a level 1 fitness trainer from a recognised institution

Course details
The SAASS Power Aerobics Instructor – Level 1 course can be taken in the following formats
Weekends
The classroom-based learning course will give students all the necessary skills to start their career as a group aerobics Instructor
- Format: Classroom-based learning
- Duration: 10 days, running over two and a half months, and 1 1-day assessment.
A registered sports science academy of the Tertiary and Vocational Education Commission.
OJT AND FINAL TEST PROTOCOL
After the 10 sessions of teaching, the entire students should attend an on-the-job training of a minimum of 01 month.
Written Exams:
- The final written exam is 30 questions.
- The questions are divided equally between multiple-choice, true/false, and fill-in-the-blank.
Final Practical Test
The practical test emphasizes the student’s ability to demonstrate safe and effective exercises that correspond to their certification choice. Each participant has a chance to show his or her practical skills. For example, in the aerobics class, we ask that you do a routine using at least 10 -14 connecting moves, and in the aerobics certification, show safe and effective free weight technique.

Retesting Procedure:
If a student does not pass the exam the first time, He or she can retake it for up to one year with a Rs 2000.00 retest fee. They can take the whole workshop and exam again at any of our workshops.
